Peripheral Nerves

The neurological exam provides and accurate assessment of the nerves and muscles impacting pain associated with hand, arm, foot and other body parts.

Electromyography and EMG involves testing the electrical activity of muscles. Often, EMG testing is performed with another test that measures the conducting function of nerves. This is called a nerve conduction study. Both tests are generally performed during the same office visit by other local specialists.
